After Jeff Kincart, a first-time Fast 56 honoree, accepted the evening’s opening award, his face quickly changed from cheer to confusion. Emcee Bill McCausland wouldn’t let him leave the stage.
In the audience, Jeff’s father, Rob, beamed with pride — and a secret known only to him and McCausland.
“In honor of Jeff’s inclusion in the 2025 Fast 56, his father, Rob, has established an endowed scholarship in Jeff’s name,” announced McCausland, MBA ’96, Life Member, and executive director and vice president of the USF Alumni Association.
The crowd erupted in cheers.
Rob Kincart had established and endowed the R. Jeffrey Kincart Endowed Scholarship in Engineering earlier that very day, Sept. 19.
“When I found out, I felt a wave of emotion,” Jeff says. “It wasn’t just pride — it was a deep sense of connection to my father, to the university and to the students who will benefit from the scholarship.”
The excitement continued as 75 Bull business leaders representing 34 different majors were recognized. The USF Fast 56 Awards celebrates the 56 fastest growing businesses led by alumni, based on revenues over the previous three years. Two are singled out for special honors.
The Accelerator Award, which was presented to A-C-T Environmental & Infrastructure, and its Bull leader, president Jeff Kincart, Civil and Environmental Engineering ’00, Life Member, recognizes the company with the highest annual revenue of all the year’s winners earning more than $20 million a year.
The Apex Award goes to the business with the highest annual revenue overall. For the fourth consecutive year, the honor went to The Baldwin Group (formerly Baldwin Risk Partners) and its founding partner Elizabeth Krystyn, Finance ’87, Life Member, and chief accounting officer Corbyn Lichon, Accounting ’13, Life Member.
This year’s event was co-emceed by Juli Lewis, Social Work ’97, Life Member and vice president of the USF Credit Union. Nominations for the 2026 Fast 56 will open in the spring. Watch usfalumni.org/fast56 for updates.
