The USF Alumni Association has unveiled a new website to better serve the university’s 378,000 alumni, plus friends, students and partners. Now, it’s even easier to stay connected to our great university.
In 1971, 25 men and women made history as the first class of medical students at the University of South Florida. They were pioneers in a new era of medical education, research and health care in the Tampa Bay area and beyond. As the college celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2024, it also honors its charter class, who paved the way for its success and excellence.
From being invited to join the prestigious Association of American Universities to breaking fundraising records and even a faculty member making it into the Guinness Book of World Records, this has been a momentous year for USF.
The USF football team put an exclamation mark on a memorable first season under first-year head coach Alex Golesh as the Bulls rolled to a 45-0 victory over Syracuse (6-7) in the Boca Raton Bowl in front of a vocal throng of Bulls fans and a national television audience on ESPN.
“Since we first announced plans to build an on-campus stadium at the University of South Florida, it has become the topic I hear about most often from our passionate supporters. There is a genuine excitement within our community,” USF President Rhea Law said. “We’re thrilled to offer the first images of the stadium that will activate our campus in ways we never have before and will make a positive impact on our university for generations to come.”
